Disabled Veteran and Retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, Mike McKinney started out as a mechanic at 17 years old in San Jose, CA. Mike joined the US Air Force in 1980 where he enjoyed a successful career in Law Enforcement. He traveled the globe on many missions protecting his country during his 24 years of service. He was retired from active duty in 2004 due to injuries sustained while on active duty.

Mike has always had a dream of opening a family business and Big Mike's Performance Parts was the start of that dream. Today, Mike takes great joy in working along side generations of family members ranging from his wife and younger brother all the way to his adult grandchildren. 

After working most of her adult life for The Exchange (formerly AAFES), Diane retired from her job in the H.R. department to work full time at STO N SHO. You can also find her decorating the STO N SHO shop to celebrate every holiday and occasion. Diane’s dog Sofie is always by her side at work and at home. Diane loves to cook, garden, spend time with her children and grandchildren, and watch T.V. shows with her husband. She also loves to talk, to anyone and everyone (must be the 30 years of retail) so it’s always best to pray she doesn’t answer the phone when you call!

Mashell is STO N SHO’s Assistant General Manager. After graduating from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, Mashell and her family moved to California in 2004. While, she has been with the company since it started in the family garage in 2012, an injury forced Mashell to retire from nursing and allowed her to focus on the family business full time. Mashell handles sales and marketing, along with managing the website
and new product updates.

Looking for a custom application that may require some creative ingenuity? Uri is the guy you’ll probably talk to. Uri also graduated from the University of North Dakota before moving to California in 2004 with Mashell and their kids. Though he currently works full time for the California Air National Guard, you’ll also catch Uri working at STO N SHO on his off hours.

Uri and Mashell enjoy spending their free time with their dogs Bonnie and Fleur and traveling between the East and West Coasts visiting their children.

Based in Los Angeles, Liz is STO N SHO’s Digital Market Manager. Texting us or sliding into our DM’s? Liz has got you covered. In
addition to handling online interactions and social media accounts, Liz manages all of our digital marketplace and authorized resellers. Liz has worked at STO N SHO since 2018 and is Mike’s oldest granddaughter. Liz spends most of her time outside of work with her dog Blitzen or trying new restaurants.

Steve and Mary moved back to California to help with the family business after living in Arizona for 24 years, raising their family.

Steve heads up the building side of STO N SHO and has also become key in assisting Mike with the development of new products. If you see 2 guys crawling underneath cars at any Bay Area dealership, chances are its Mike and Steve! Steve enjoys watching sports and playing online video games with many family members.

Mary runs the shipping department and, if you receive a STO N SHO from us, you can bet that Mary is the one that made sure it got to you. Mary enjoys sewing, painting, baking and working in the garden. They both love taking walks along the beach and every opportunity to visit their kids and granddaughter, Mia.

Larry has been with STO N SHO since 2012 focusing on strategic financial management. His expertise revolves around creating and executing budgets, cash flow and financial analysis, financial problem solving to increase cash flow and profitability and loan acquisition. Previously, he was an entrepreneur with retail stores in NorCal, a partner in a local accounting firm, a national and regional manager for Reebok International and managed the NorCal Executive MBA program for the Graziadio School at Pepperdine University. He most recently created OpenToBuy.co which is an online inventory management application for small retail stores with sales $2M and below. Larry has ben consulting with small businesses for over three decades. He also holds an MBA from the Graziadio School at Pepperdine University. Larry is a dog lover and when not at work, you can find him immersed in many sports- after all, he was a professional baseball player and golfer before becoming the financial expert he is today.
